Margaret is her usual wacky self, writing furiously to Henry to get himself to England. She worries about Stanley's loyalty, especially since he and his brother are notorious for taking opposing sides so that there's always a Stanley on the winning one. Her anxiety really kicks in when Richard threatens to kill Stanley's son if his father fails to turn up for the battle. Stanley warns Margaret that he won't abandon his own son for hers. Without his men, Henry doesn't stand a chance.
Back in Grafton, Elizabeth Woodville welcomes her son Richard, whom she'd secretly sent away while an imposter assumed his identity, home. And that's pretty much it. Richard III was the last Plantagenet king as well as the last English king to die in battle. For further Ricardian reading, I highly, highly recommend Sharon Kay Penman's superb historical fiction novel, The Sunne in Splendour as well as Paul Murray Kendall's Richard the Third, a biography.
The Huntik team travel to Greece, on a quest to find the legendary Argo of Jason and the Argonauts. It's not long however before they end up in a final confrontation with DeFoe, who is set on revenge.
Well, finally. The ruinous civil war called the Dance of the Dragons is here at last, and if this episode is any indication, it's gonna be one bloody mosh pit. Lord Beesbury's was technically the first blood spilled in the war last week, but poor Luke represents its first front-line casualty. They didn't just kill this messenger, they chewed him all the way up. (You know how you never see Cookie Monster actually eating the cookie, he just sort of reduces it to flying crumbs Sort of that, but with gobbets of flesh.)
I mentioned last week that the characters on this show are drawn with a lot more nuance and ambivalence than their comparatively sketchy and ruthless counterparts in Fire & Blood, the book from which House of the Dragon is adapted. That's particularly true this week, as Rhaenyra argues for caution and restraint, and the show goes out of its way to establish that neither combatant in the dragon-on-dragon air battle is fully in control of his creature when the dark deed gets done.
It was rough going for the majority of the season, but these last couple of episodes have made me finally root for them and their doomed romance. They are just so cute together. Lissa blurting out that the two of them are married is adorably hilarious.
Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Season 1 of House of the Dragon. The finale of House of the Dragon Season 1 brings us to the official beginning of the civil war in Westeros known as the Dance of Dragons. For those who are familiar with Fire & Blood, the novel by George R. R. Martin that this show was based on, they've known we've been building up to this final moment. In the final act of \"The Black Queen,\" we see Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) sending her sons as messengers to try and curry favor with the nobles who have not declared for Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney). With Rhaenys (Eve Best) patrolling the Narrow Sea on her dragon Meleys, Rhaenyra sends Jace (Harry Collett) to the Eyrie to see Rhaenyra's mother's cousin, Lady Jane Arryn, and then further up north to Winterfell to treat with Lord Cregan Stark for the support of The North. She sends Luke (Elliot Grihault) to Storm's End, to treat with Lord Borros Baratheon for support.
On paper, this is the moment that the war truly starts. When Daemon (Matt Smith) returns to Dragonstone to deliver the news to Rhaenyra, it seems that the loss of her son is the final straw for her. In Fire & Blood, Maester Gyldayne wrote that with Luke's death, \"The war of ravens and envoys and marriage pacts came to an end, and the war of fire and blood began in earnest.\"
Engage Kiss is an exciting action/adventure anime of the Summer 2022 season, and the story begins its endgame in Episode 10: the final battle pitting protagonist Ogata Shu against his worst enemy, the Demon lord Asmodeus. Everything Shu has done has led to this moment, but he might not be ready for what comes next.
Engage Kiss draws new battle lines in Episode 10 as Asmodeus prepares his Demonic endgame. Supporting characters such as Sharon the battle nun and Ayano fill in the missing pieces of the Demon lord's story, and Kisara can hardly believe what she hears. As Sharon explains it, Asmodeus has spent years preparing an arcane ritual; now the final step involves Hive Three Mine, the offshore Orognium mine. Asmodeus did not cause all the D-disasters in Bayron City; instead, he was drawn to the city's Orognium deposits and large Demon population, and he can take the final step here. With his half-human, half-Demon daughter Ogata Kanna as the catalyst, Asmodeus may open the gate to an entire horde of Demons and force humanity to co-exist with them.
Sharon is fighting for her Celestial Abbey cause rather than the city's sake, meaning she is also Shu's enemy at this moment. But that doesn't last long as Asmodeus makes his move before either the city government or Shu's group can do much more, and his giant Demon hands erupt from the earth itself. Engage Kiss' final boss battle has begun, and the stakes are higher than ever as the fate of both Bayron City and Shu's family will be decided soon.
In the face of such a monstrous threat, perhaps the two human factions will unite and set aside their differences. The city government and Shu cannot agree on how to handle Asmodeus' minion Kanna, but it's a moot point unless they defeat the Demon lord with their combined strength. Shu isn't sure how he will rescue his little sister from Asmodeus' grip and convince the city government to spare Kanna's life, but he and Kisara have more pressing issues for now. Defeating Asmodeus comes first; he can fight a more personal battle for his little sister's life later.
Stan finally gets over his fear of heights and confirms it with a cocky dance, however Mabel now has a fear of heights. Dipper allows Robbie to beat him up, but Robbie decides not to. Wendy, who has returned from camping, asks the two if they were fighting. Dipper tells her that they were trying to stop two other people from fighting, and Wendy affectionately calls them \"her boys.\" Dipper and Robbie then agree to hate each other in secret.
Despite an exterior that implies a certain level of fatal confidence, Nagaitis described how the process of filming that final attack sequence unlocked another layer of the character that was buried much deeper.
That final sequence took another unexpected cue from a famous Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze painting (one, incidentally that would have been finished around the time that the events of the show were occurring).
Before the final episode bids farewell to that pair of major forces in the series, Episode 10 also sees the end of Dr. Goodsir (Paul Ready). His last act, after bearing witness to some of the most horrific chapters in this ill-fated expedition, is one of a sacrifice. Recognizing that his death might give his comrades a chance at survival, Goodsir takes his own life.
Kenpachi Zaraki, who has removed his eyepatch, and Unohana Yachiryu, also known as Retsu Unohana, the first Kenpachi, exchange swords in the lowest layer of Mao Underground Prison, \"Muken\". In the midst of a fierce sword fight, the two think about the day they first met in Ryukongai and crossed swords. And Unohana sees a certain truth hidden in Kenpachi's power, which makes him happy in battle. Meanwhile, Ichigo and Renji of Reiou Palace head to the Phoenix Hall. It is said that Nimaiya Oetsu, who is waiting there, is \"the man who created the Zanpakuto\"...
Jingim is dragged from the battlefield, and he and Marco, who helped save him, make peace. For now. Byamba chooses his path, skipping the victorious celebration to ride north to be with his love, Khutulun. When Kublai eventually turns to settle old scores with Kaidu, he will find his son in the middle. Later, Marco rides home with the army, dressed like a conquering prince, but his hopes to find Kokachin waiting for him are dashed when he finds her quarters empty. The Blue Princess is gone.
The mad dash to fill the Iron Throne is on after King Viserys I finally expired last week, and Alicent told her Green Council the (misinterpreted) wishes of her husband for Aegon II to be installed as his heir instead of Rhaenyra.
Yes, HBO blessed us with a rip-roaring Season 1 finale trailer that perfectly sets the stage for a bloody clash between the Greens and the Blacks. In the trailer, Rhaenys warns Rhaenyra and Daemon that the Hightowers are coming for their children. At the same time, Ser Erryk pleads loyalty to the Princess, savage dragons stir, siege mentalities set in, vengeance is avowed, and sharp swords get sharper.
Senn and Igneous arrive in Ataraxia to a familiar surprise, the Felden army invades the Necrobase, Abbigail sets off to determine the fate of the Enderknights, and the Ardoni arrive at Mt. Velgrin for a final battle against the Voltaris in this thrilling conclusion to Songs of War Season 1!
As Asuna began hesitating, Kuradeel made use of her lowered guard in an attempt to launch a surprise attack on Asuna. However, Kirito intercepted the attack just in time by sacrificing his hand to block the blow. Using his free hand, the boy dealt the final blow to Kuradeel with his Martial Arts skill Embracer. In his dying breath, Kuradeel accused Kirito of being a murderer before shattering into polygons.
Cartman is excited about his upcoming birthday party and lets everyone invited know what present he expects to receive from each. When they protest, he threatens to ban them from eating the food his mother makes, something that immediately convinces them. They encounter a new student named Damien, son of Satan. The other boys mock him and, in response, Damien turns Kenny into a duck-billed platypus. Damien informs Jesus that Satan will rise for a final battle with him of good versus evil. South Park residents immediately begin making bets on the fight. Cartman is angered to learn the event is scheduled for the same time as his party, and the children struggle to choose between the two events. 59ce067264
